The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has established the Underground Equipment Manufacturers Council to help its member companies address issues affecting the underground construction and utility industry.
The council will focus on trenching, trenchless, vacuum excavation, underground tracking and locating products. It will cover areas including safety, standards and regulations, statistics and market data, education, public policy and the industry’s image.
The new AEM product group consists of four existing association groups, the Trencher Equipment Council, Trenchless Equipment Council, Underground Electronics Committee and the Vacuum Excavation Equipment Manufacturers Council. Their members voted to combine operations to efficiently handle common issues.
