ICUEE welcomes early registration

If you are planning on attending the 2003 International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition in September, you might want to get a head start by registering early. Starting March 17, attendees can register free at www.icuee.com, or by fax or mail. After August 29, the registration fee will increase to $20.

Visitors to the ICUEE website can also check out the latest show information, use it to make hotel reservations and register for the ICUEE seminar program. Attendees that register in advance for the exposition can also save $50 off the seminar fee.

“We encourage attendees to register early not only to save money but also to obtain their desired hotel accommodations,” ICUEE show manager Paula Miller said. “We have plenty of space available in area hotels, but the show is popular and housing does begin to fill up the closer we get to show opening.”

The 2003 show, themed “The Proving Ground,”, is expected to have more than 800 exhibitors on over 1one million square feet of exhibit space. In addition to the wide variety of exhibitors, the show will feature hands-on outdoor product demonstrations simulating working conditions and educational seminars on new technologies and innovations in the construction and utility industry.

This year’s seminar topics will discuss issues including regulatory and safety issues affecting construction sites, directional drilling market trends, utility engineering issues, overhead equipment operation and maintenance regulations, telecommunications industry forecast and equipment utilization and leasing trends. Seminar sessions are given daily, and those interested can attend three seminars for a flat rate. Session registration is $149 until August 30, when the price goes up to $199.

“These sessions provide added value to attendees’ overall show experience and are a convenient way to brush up on the latest industry trends and technologies essential to remain competitive in today’s marketplace,” Miller said.

In its 39th year, the ICUEE show is targeted towards all segments of the utility, water, sewer, telephone, gas, cable, electric and site preparation markets. The show will be held September 23-25 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.
