It’s a little longer. It’s got more storage capacity. And it’s got four doors.

Bollinger Motors revealed today the first image of the four-door version of its B1 all-electric sport utility truck. The sketch also shows off a new orange exterior color which will also be available at launch. The B1’s removable panels allow it to be converted to a half cab pickup.

“We always wanted to make a four-door version of the B1,” said Robert Bollinger, B1 designer and Bollinger CEO. “Our assistant designer Ross Compton and I developed a great sketch. The vehicle still has great proportions and its amazing off-road capabilities remain intact since we only had to stretch the chassis by nine inches.”

Adding the two doors creates a new overall vehicle length of 159 inches and new wheelbase of 114 inches. While the truck will have the same class-leading ground clearance of 15.5 inches, adjustable wheel travel of +5/-5 inches, approach and departure angles of 56 and 53 degrees respectively, it will have a new break-over angle of 31 degrees.

The longer vehicle now provides an additional six cubic feet of cargo volume for a total of 101 cu. ft. Both the two- and four-door variants will have the same battery options of either 60 kWh or 100 kWh.

The first B1 is expected to be delivered in 18 months. Additional specifications and information will be made available in future announcements.
