Ford celebrates the launch of its newest F-150 with luxury pickup

If you want a pickup with style and functionality, Ford may have what you need.

To mark the launch of the newest F-150, Ford will offer the 2013 F-150 Limited, a luxury pickup set to arrive at dealerships this fall.

The F-150 Limited includes SYNC with MyFord Touch, Sirius Travel Link, rain-sensing windshield wipers and high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, while series-specific features make this F-150 stand out.

The exterior features of the F-150 Limited include 22-inch polished aluminum wheels and center caps, a monochromatic exterior theme (available in Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Tuxedo Black Metallic and White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat), body-color front and rear bumpers, front bumper valance, sideview mirror caps, wheel-lip molding, upper fascia and grille surround.

The F-150 Limited also includes segment-first HID headlamps for two and a half times more light than conventional halogen lamps. The headlamps incorporate F-150 insignias. The three-bar grille, the tie-down hooks lining the cargo box, the single tip of the tuned exhaust and the tow hooks on 4×4 variants are all made of chrome. “LIMITED” dimensional lettering accents the box sides.

The F-150 Limited comes standard with a SuperCrew four-door cab configuration.

The F-150 Limited features red and black full-grain leather seats.

The F-150 Limited’s interior features include red and black full-grain leather seats with cooling and heating and memory functionality to remember seating preferences for two different drivers, four-way-adjustable head restraints, heated second-row seats, aluminum trimming on the center panel and console, piano black accents, ambient lighting, a moonroof, a rearview camera, and a power-sliding rear window with privacy tint and defrost functionality.

This F-150 also includes technological features such as voice-activated navigation with a bird’s-eye view via a centrally mounted 8-inch LCD screen, MyFord Touch powered by SYNC and a customizable gauge cluster design with a 4.2-inch driver-programmable productivity screen. The media hub offers USB ports, an SD-card reader and RCA video input jacks. A Sony Audio System is standard.

Standard Ford features in the F-150 Limited include an electronic six-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode, trailer tow package, trailer brake controller, Reverse Sensing System, power-deployable running boards, a 110-volt power inverter and PowerFold side mirrors.

Ford’s 3.5-liter Ti-VCT EcoBoost engine powers the F-150 Limited and offers 365 hp at 5,000 rpm on regular fuel, 22 mpg highway for the 4×2 model, twin independent variable camshaft timing and 420 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,500 rpm.

Additionally, sport-tuned dampers are fitted front and rear.
