Cooler Running for 2011 Ford F350/F250
PML Transmission pan holds more fluid for better cooling under heavy-duty work applications
Keeping transmission temps in line is critical for the longevity of any transmission. Overheat the trans fluid during heavy towing or hauling situations and trans life is severely compromised.
A great way to provide a larger margin of safety against overheating the 2011 F-Series Super Duty pickups is installing PML’s newest transmission pan (#11049), which provides cooler running temperatures through expanded oil capacity and raised outside fins to dissipate heat.
These lower temperatures will help reduce wear and tear on the transmission. Designed to fit 2008 and newer Ford F250/F350 trucks, the pan provides capacity for an additional four quarts of oil on the TorqShift 5R110 transmission with the internal filter.
The pan’s internal baffles keep the oil near the filter inlet, eliminating the need for a filter extension. For those requiring a temperature sensor, one can easily be tapped and drilled through the cast-in boss. The pan ships with a magnetic drain plug and mounting hardware.
Quality and durability come from the pans 3/16-inch thick outer case, a 3/8-inch thick gasket flange to ensure a secure seal, and a magnetic drain plug for easier maintenance.
The transmission pan is available in three finishes: as-cast, and black powder coated, and polished.
