Laptop Mounts

Mount Up:

Don’t let loose electronic devices become a nuisance in your cab, keep them safe and secure with the proper mounts

By Tom Jackson

Laptops, cell phones, PDAs, GPS – today’s traveling supervisor has more loose electronic gear in his truck than anyone could have imagined back in the days when a two-way radio and a pay phone were all you needed.

You don’t want this stuff sliding around in the cab, and in the case of laptops, you need those positioned where you can type and scroll when the truck is parked.

You don’t want the thing wedged between you and the steering wheel or sitting in the seat next to you where you have to twist around to get to the keyboard.

The right mounts for your in-cab electronic gear will help you work more efficiently when you’re parked at the jobsite and keep you from getting distracted when you’re barreling down the road at 60mph.

Truck outfitters can help you with your selection, but a lot of these are sold direct as well and you can find loads of product information on the web. Just keep in mind that some designs are specific to a particular type of truck, others are universal. Make sure you check the details before you order something.
