Nissan’s Titan Pro-4X Off-Road Series does double-duty by plowing through rough jobsites and hauling loads of cargo.

Now in its fifth year producing full-size trucks, Nissan continues to deliver jobsite-ready performers with its 2009 Titan Pro-4X Off-Road Series. This hefty four-wheel drive truck proves capable of rolling through mud and muck thanks to large, all-terrain tires and a 5.6-liter V8 engine producing 317 horsepower and 385 pounds-feet of torque.
The 2009 Titan is available in four models – the XE, SE, Pro-4X and LE, either standard or long wheelbase, King Cab or Crew Cab body styles and four bed lengths.
But out of all of Nissan’s truck models, the Pro-4X Series offers the most heavy-duty features, courtesy of its off-road equipment package. Equipment World had the chance to test drive a well-equipped Titan Pro-4X Crew Cab, which included Rancho performance shock absorbers for a smoother ride, a class-exclusive electronic rear differential lock and a maximum towing capacity of 9,400 pounds when equipped with a weight-distributing hitch, or 5,000 pounds without a hitch.
