Calling agriculture “part of the foundation” of which the truck maker’s success is built on, Ram has introduced a special edition pickup designed for farmers and their families.
The new Harvest Edition will be available on Ram’s 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups in all four-door Quad, Crew and Mega cab configurations, all box lengths and all powertrains, including the HEMI V8 and the 6.7-liter Cummins.
A cool design detail on these trucks is that they will be available in what Ram is calling Case IH Red and New Holland Blue. Chief of the Ram and Jeep brands Mike Manley says these colors “exactly match…two of the most popular lines of farm equipment in the nation.”
“Farmers have been asking for these colors, and Ram is proud to be the first in the industry to be able to offer them,” Manley added.
In order to allow drivers to navigate rough farm roads and pastures with ease, Ram has increased the ride height on Harvest Edition pickups by one-inch over the standard 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups. The trucks also feature on/off-road tires, black tubular side steps, spray-in Berliner, a fold out bumper step, mud flaps, rubber floor mats, skid plates and tow hooks.
Further exterior features include a chrome “Wave Mesh” luxury cross-hair grille, bright front and rear bumpers, chrome mirrors, chrome door handles, chrome-tipped dual exhausts (on the V8 1500 models), 17-inch chrome wheels on the 1500 models and 18-inch aluminum wheels on the Heavy Duty models.
Heated seats are an available option. The Heavy Duty models come standard with a cargo-view camera.
The trucks’ cabin is outfitted with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 4G WiFi connectivity and Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
The Ram 1500 Harvest Edition starts at $41,305, including destination charge. The Heavy Duty models start at $47,630.
