With the goal of giving a modern edginess to a patriotic classic, Weaver Customs built what they call the “Full Metal Jacket,” breathing new life into a 1941 Military Power Wagon.
On display at this year’s SEMA show, the half-ton FMJ is powered by a single HX35 turbo 4BT Cummins paired to a TH350 transmission with a 205 transfer case.
The truck is built atop a custom chassis with triangulated 4-link, 30-inch shocks. In back is a custom, full-sized bed with Pau Ferro tropical South American wood.
As a nod to the Power Wagon’s military heritage, Weaver has inlaid a Colt 1911 in to the front driver- and passenger-side floorboards. The 1911 was the U.S. military’s standard issue sidearm for much of the 20th Century.
The truck’s spotless interior features leather seats, digital gauges, Kicker speakers and a racing shifter.
