Ram has unveiled two new truck packages, one centered around a new shade for the 2017 Rebel and the other the return of a very loud shade for the 2017 1500 Sport.
First up is the 2017 limited-edition Ram 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand package. Mojave Sand is a brand new exterior paint for Ram and its application will be limited to this Rebel. Accenting the new shade are a fully black interior as well as large black stripes on the hood and black Ram badging on the sides and tailgate.
The Ram Rebel Mojave Sand will be available in December, starting at $45,590 plus $1,320 destination. Production is limited to 1,500 units.
Like all Rebels, the Mojave will come equipped with a factory lift, 33-inch all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, skid plates and tow hooks among other off-road features.
Then there’s the Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport which will feature the very bright shade for which it is named along with a body-color grille, black decals, black Ram’s head grille badge, black tailgate badge and black body-side badges. The interior features “Copperhead” accent stitching, accent color Ram’s head embroidery and accent-colored sport mesh on the seat inserts.
Like the Rebel Mojave, only 1,500 units of the Ignition Orange Sport will be produced. It is limited to Crew Cab V8 Sport models and starts at $43,740, plus $1,320 destination.
Both special edition packages are available with the standard 305-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or with the 395-hp 5.7L HEMI V8.
