Bobcat grabbed the construction industry’s attention in April when it rolled out its largest-ever excavators, the E220 and E245.
Known for its compact equipment, Bobcat is venturing into bigger machines, and on this episode of The Dirt, we find out why.
Ryan Saunders, Bobcat senior marketing specialist for product planning, comes on the show to give us the rundown on the bigger excavators, the company’s strategy with them and, of course, all the key specs and features operators will find. He also explains the relationship between Bobcat and HD Hyundai Infracore for manufacturing and servicing the machines.
Features on the new excavators include four selectable power modes, one-touch power boost and Smart Power Control. The cab is designed for operator comfort, and the excavators have a variety of mechanical advancements for smooth operation, among other features.
