Topcon releases new version of Pocket 3D software

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) released version 8.06 of its Pocket 3D software with several improvement in construction data collection.

The software update is one of the primary components of the Topcon Grade Management System that includes GR-3 GNSS receivers and the FC-120 field controller loaded with Pocket 3D.

Pocket 3D allows users to check grade, verify cut and fill and locate tie-outs or reset stakes from the hand-held device. The touch-screen interface and Bluetooth wireless technology gives users easy ways to check job-site efficiency and to make sure jobs are on schedule.

Version 8.06 of the Pocket 3D software offers users new stakeout polyline and alignment features as well as the ability to collect and export cut sheets quickly. The new software organizes design files and point files alphabetically and allows users to search points by name. The update includes network connectivity improvements and stakeout and Calc wizard enhancements.

The new Pocket 3D software allows users to manage and maximize the use of their equipment by checking productivity on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The update is available for a free download for Topcon customers on the Topcon support site.
