Thomas Equipment, manufacturer of skid steer loaders, mini skid steer loaders and attachments, has announced an agreement to sell their skid steers in China. Thomas, a company of Osiris, signed a letter of intent with a subsidiary of Singapore Technologies (ST) Engineering, Guizhou Jonyang Kinetics (GJK) for the production and distribution of Thomas Skid Steer Loaders throughout GJK markets. GJK is partially owned by the People’s Republic of China.
The company expects to begin shipping the machines in early 2009. With temporary production augmentation from Canada, these shipments are expected to increase throughout the year before Canadian production is phased out late next year.
Thomas Equipment’s marketing, sales, quality control and related staff in Centerville, New Brunswick, Canada, will oversee production and all Thomas activities in this pact.
