Topcon introduces password protection for total stations

Topcon Positioning Systems has announced a new security feature in the onboard software for its total stations. Users now have the option to require password entry for the GTS-100N, CTS-3000, GTS-230W and GPT-3000W/LW series total stations.

Scott Langbein, product marketing manager for Topcon, says requiring a password helps owners protect their equipment from being used if stolen.
