Polaris Laboratories, an oil and coolant analysis laboratory, recently announced the development of a field service division and the increase of the company’s national sales team. The expansion includes the addition of seven new positions – a vice president of sales, a director of field services, four new territory account managers and an inside sales coordinator.
Brett Minges has been appointed to the vice president of sales position. Minges has extensive fluid analysis and sales experience and most recently served as area general manager for Stewart and Stevenson, a distributor for Detroit Diesel and Allison products.
Walt Huysman has been named director of field services. Huysman is a certified lubrication specialist and oil monitoring analyst who joined Polaris in 2002 as Northeast and Midwest territory sales manager. He has extensive technical expertise in program management and root cause failure analysis.
Linda Pascali has joined Polaris as the Northeast territory sales manager. She has 20 years of analytical laboratory testing experience and previously worked for Shell Oil, Neslo Petroleum and Mobil Oil. Pascali is based in Philadelphia, Pa.
David Ryan has been named Southeast territory sales manager. He has 20 years experience in the lubricants industry with Castrol and Chevron. Ryan also has sales and training experience with a Caterpillar dealer and with a John Deere dealer. Ryan is located in Charlotte, N.C.
Christine Furlong has joined Polaris as the Midwest territory sales manager. Furlong has 19 years sales experience, most recently as an OEM corporate account manager and a heavy duty commercial and industrial products sales manager for Valvoline. She has also worked in sales territory management with Castrol Oil and Steuart Petroleum. Furlong is based in Chicago, Ill.
Robert Chumley has been named the Southwest territory sales manager. He is a certified lubrication specialist and oil monitoring analyst with 30 years sales, training and laboratory experience. He previously served as a lubrication consultant for ExxonMobil. Chumley joined the Polaris sales team in 2004. He is based in Houston, Texas.
Cathy Smith has joined Polaris as the Western territory sales manager. She has 15 hears experience in outside sales and account management. Smith was a sales representative and automotive brand manager for Siegel Oil of Denver. She is located in Denver, Colo.
Elaine Walsh has been appointed inside sales coordinator for Polaris. Walsh joined the company in 2003 as a customer service representative. She has 28 years of customer service management experience.
