The True Value hardware store chain has chosen DPL, a maker of wireless and GPS products, as its approved provider of asset tracking products. The hardware cooperative says the endorsement will help its members protect their construction equipment and vehicles from theft, capture lost rental revenue and expedite collections on non-paying rentals. Vehicles and construction equipment are a major investment for True Value members, and utilizing affordable, effective technology that increases revenue opportunities and cost savings associated with those assets makes sense, said Tom Fischer, merchandise manager for True Value’s rental division.
