Gehl to increase telehandler production

Gehl has begun a $6.5 million expansion project in Yankton, S.D., that includes a $2.2 million, 30,000-square-foot expansion as well as $4.3 million in technological production enhancements.

“Our continued investment in the Yankton facility is a confirmation of our firm commitment to increasing our presence in the telehandler marketplace, one of Gehl’s core market segments,” said William Gehl, chairman and chief executive of the company.

When complete in January 2007, the expansion will increase Gehl’s telehandler production 50 percent.
