The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) is offering tours of the new $322 million Interstate 74 bridge being built over the Mississippi River between Bettendorf, Iowa, and Moline, Ill., the Clinton Herald reports. The bridge is of the $1.2 billion Interstate 74 corridor project.

IDOT Project Manager Danielle Alvarez told the news agency that she had already taken some interested residents on a tour of the bridge aboard a ferryboat. She offered them information about the planning, design and ongoing construction of the two four-lane spans.

Residents made reservations for the tour months in advance, and four additional tours set in September 2018 are already sold out.
