Folio:, the leading publication for magazine professionals, recently awarded Overdrive (sister publication to Randall-Reilly Publishing Co.’s Equipment World, Aggregates Manager, and Better Roads magazines) a gold Eddie Award recognizing its March 2010 issue as the Best Full Issue in the Travel and Transportation category.
The awards were announced January 25, 2011, before a sold-out audience at Sentry Center in New York City. The Folio: Awards is the largest magazine awards competition in the nation.
“Our editors continue to meet and exceed the highest standards of editorial excellence,” says Linda Longton, senior vice president, editorial, for Randall-Reilly. “By adhering to its editorial mission of helping independent contractors achieve business success, Overdrive consistently ranks among the top business-to-business magazines in the nation.”
This is the fifth Gold Award Overdrive has received in the Folio: Awards competition. No other trucking publications received awards in the competition this year. Overdrive is also the recipient of five Jesse H. Neal award certificates, as well as numerous national and regional American Society of Business Publication Editors awards. In 2011, Overdrive will celebrate its 50th Anniversary as the Voice of the American Trucker.
