GM: no more diesels for the time being

Citing the fact that they do not have a diesel engine compliant with the upcoming 2010 emissions regulations, General Motors will cease selling light and medium duty trucks and vans with diesel engines from November until May 2010. Heavy duty extended cab pickups will not return to production until July 2010.  GM announced in June that it was discontinuing the Kodiak and TopKick brands of trucks.
