To meet the needs of the compact construction equipment market, Perkins has unveiled a new four-cylinder, 1.5-liter engine – the 404C-15 — with increased power and torque. The new engine was designed to meet Tier 2 requirements and, with minimal changes, will be able to satisfy the needs of Tier 3 emissions regulations. The 404C-15 puts out a maximum of 35.5 horsepower at 3,000 rpm. Oil and filter changes on the new engine are extended to 500 hours to help lower the cost of ownership.
