Liebherr PR 736 G8 dozerLiebherr‘s PR 736 G8 is the company’s first model in its Generation 8 dozer lineup, and powered by a 217-horsepower EVO Series Liebherr diesel.
“The PR 736 G8 is a do-it-all machine for grading and mining,” says Peter Mayr, managing director, Liebherr USA, “with new assistance systems on three levels.”
The three levels are Free Grade, used for active grade stabilization during fine grading; Definition Grade, which uses automatic blade positioning when creating 2D grades and the optional 3D Grade GPS machine control system. Standard on the machine is Liebherr Active Sensor Control, which stabilizes all blade axis.
The ripper is controlled by a grab handle with integrated joystick, which Liebherr says “guarantees stable seating when driving in uneven terrain.” Operator comfort is further enhanced by separating the cab from the machine base, leading to reduced vibration. And operator access lighting has a delay function and can be activated from outside the cab.
The 9-inch display monitor allows operators to view operating data and set and save operating and steering preferences. Pilot-controlled hydraulics can be adjusted to operating conditions. The machine comes standard with the Liebherr LiDAT telematics system.
The 56,218-pound dozer has blade capacities ranging from 5.36 to 7.27 cubic yards, and offers the choice between a straight, semi-U and 6-way blade. The new 6-way blade has an increased 7.27-cubic-yard capacity, designed to improve production and facilitate grading.
Mayr also says that Liebherr USA has increased its dealer footprint, going from just covering a few East Coast dealers in 2014 to nearly 100 dealers today.
