Lull® Model 644E-42 Telehandler Features Accurate Load Placement

The Rental Show, 2008 – JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Truck Corporation company [NYSE: OSK] and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers will show the Lull® Model 644E-42 telehandler with a 52-inch 90-degree swing carriage and 48-inch pallet forks in Booth 6119 at The Rental Show in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 12 -14, 2008.

 

Model 644E-42 features 80-inches of horizontal boom travel for accurate load placement, 6,000-pound maximum lift capacity, 42 foot maximum lift height, and a 500-pound maximum lift capacity at maximum forward reach of 35 feet 6-inches. 

 

Another key feature of the Model 644E-42 includes a steel frame design that incorporates a patented twin-rail box construction for an overall stronger structure and increased load capacity. The unit is powered by a Cummins B4.5T engine rated at 99 horsepower. The transmission is a modulated power shift featuring 4-speed forward and 3-speed reverse.

 

 

Additional features include:

 

  •  Multifunction hydraulic-over-hydraulic joystick controls that deliver superior responsiveness for precise load placement and faster cycle times for unsurpassed productivity.

  •  A rear axle stabilization system that provides increased stability during operation. This is a three-mode system with a free, slow pivot or locked rear axle.

  •  Automatic fork leveling system.

  •  All-wheel round, two-wheel front and crab steering for easier job site maneuvering.

  •  Three-section, telescopic boom featuring welded box construction with replaceable high-density wear pads with wear indicators.

  •  A maximum overall height of 95.5-inches for low-clearance areas.

  •  Full-time planetary 4-wheel drive that delivers constant traction, coupled with inboard mounted internal wet disc brakes for superior braking performance.

  •  A top speed of 20 mph and 12 degrees of frame tilt for improved productivity.
