JLG® Telehandler for Big Load Maneuverability

The Rental Show, 2008 – JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Truck Corporation company [NYSE: OSK] and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers will show the JLG Model G6-42A telehandler with a 48-inch side tilt carriage and cubing forks in Booth 6119 at The Rental Show in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 12 -14, 2008.

Incorporating a uniframe design using a high strength beam running the length of the frame, the Model G6-42A telehandler offers maximum lifting capacity of 6,600 pounds at maximum lift height of 42-feet, and is capable of horizontally extending a 1,000-pound load to 29 feet.

Model G6-42A gives the operator the choice of all-wheel, front wheel or crab steering so heavy loads can be effectively moved around crowded jobsites; and it has a minimum of 16.4-inches ground clearance with frame leveling capability of 10-degrees for deployment in rough terrain conditions.

Power is provided by a turbo-charged diesel engine from John Deere that is side mounted to permit improved operator visibility and ease of maintenance. The engine is linked to a 4-speed powershift transmission and can be driven at speeds up to 19.5 mph.
