NRMCA hosts local disaster-resilient construction workshop in Florida

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has scheduled one of two Adopting Disaster Resilient Construction at the Local Level one-day workshops for for engineers and architects to be held February 28 in Mary, Florida.

The workshop is designed to formalize the process of performing disaster-resilient construction at the local level. Some featured topics include identifying natural and manmade disasters, building code requirements for residential and commercial buildings, enhanced resilience through building code modifications, economic solutions with concrete building systems and more.

The workshop is registered with the AIA-CES, GBCI and ICC-CEU for 6 CE Professional Development contact hours. Registration fee is $95 and includes lunch and Technical Resource DVD.

The second workshop is scheduled for February 20 in Cleveland, Ohio. Each workshop features the same topics and events.
