LaHood confirmed for ARTBA public-private partnership conference July 22-23

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood has confirmed to the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) that he will deliver the keynote address at the association’s 22nd Annual ARTBA Public-Private Partnerships (P3) in Transportation Conference, held July 22-23 at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C.

LaHood is expected to share his views on the role of P3s in addressing the nation’s transportation challenges and outline the Obama Administration’s P3 goals for the upcoming reauthorization of federal surface transportation programs.

More than 300 industry executives, federal, state and local public officials, as well as financial and public policy experts are expected at the ARTBA conference, which is the nation’s longest-running P3 event. During two days, nearly 20 sessions will focus on topics such as model laws, national and international P3 case studies, the congressional perspective on P3s in the highway and transit investment bill, and building public support for P3s at the state level.
