DeWalt launches new line of compact lithium ion tools

DeWalt launched a line of compact lithium ion tools with lighter weight, smaller size and quicker charge. The line includes a drill driver, impact driver, hammerdrill and right angle drill.

The small, lightweight tools use a compact lithium ion battery that charges in 30 minutes and is compatible with the existing system of 18-volt power tools. The battery weighs 1 pound and is designed to reduce user fatigue while accessing hard-to-reach areas.

Each tool’s battery life is rated at 1,000 charges, and all tools weigh 4.1 pounds or less. The new drill drivers and hammerdrills provide increased speed. The impact driver and right angle drill have a variable speed-reversing switch, providing users with more control.

The compact lithium ion models can be purchased separately or in a combo kit. Combo kit model DCK265KL comes with the drill driver and impact driver, and kit model DCK266KL comes with the hammerdrill and impact driver. All packages include batteries and chargers.
