Tulsa’s BOK Center project wins award from AISC

The Bank of Oklahoma (BOK) Center project in Tulsa, Oklahoma, earned national recognition in the 2009 Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel awards program.

The awards program, presented by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), aims to recognize outstanding achievements in engineering and architecture on structural steel projects around the country.

The BOK Center project won an award in the category of projects greater than $75 million. The $178-million, 18,500-seat BOK Center is located in the heart of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It stretches over 600,000 square feet and uses more than 4,500 tons of structural steel.
