The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) released a new management training DVD, Minor Decisions: Major Impact; How to Deal with Real Issues in Project Management. The DVD program is a scenario-based training video that focuses on the roles of the project manager and real-world management issues.
The six video segments of the DVD focus on managing best under pressure, resolving team conflicts, using best practices and mitigating negative impacts on schedules and costs.
Other themes throughout the DVD are management and leadership styles, teamwork and attitudes, disciplinary action, problem identification, fact finding, root-cause analysis, resource control and proper housekeeping procedures.
The DVD program comes with an instructor’s guide, discussion questions and class exercises. The program will be sold as part of NCCER’s project management curriculum and as a single management training program.
