Sterling to lay off 720 workers

Sterling Trucks will lay off 720 workers at their plant in St. Thomas, Ontario, this November, according to the Canadian Press. Currently, the plant is running two shifts; however, the cuts will eliminate a full shift, cutting production by half. Sterling is a division of Daimler Truck North America, the parent company of Western Star and Freightliner.
