Helac has expanded its line of PowerGrip multi-purpose buckets to accompany 5-metric-ton machines. The newest PowerGrip bucket has a width of 24 inches, weighs approximately 525 pounds and fits excavators weighing up to 11,200 pounds. Designed as a general purpose excavating bucket, the PowerGrip also performs as a trenching, grading or clamshell bucket, and as a grapple or hydraulic thumb. The bucket operates by using the excavator’s existing auxiliary hydraulic circuit. Common PowerGrip applications include digging foundations in close quarters, grabbing an I-beam, clamshelling bedding material and drainage stone, and picking and placing retaining wall blocks.
