Bill Fairchild became national chairman of the Associated Builders and Contractors on March 5th, 2008, as ABC kicked off their National Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Fairchild officially began his one-year term as ABC national chairman on January 1, 2008.
Fairchild previously served as ABC’s Region 5 vice chairman where he represented chapters and members in Deleware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Fairchild has more than 30 years of construction industry experience and has recently been with R.W. Murray and served as vice president of Caudle Construction of Manassas. He began his construction career in Richmond, Virginia with Whiting-Turner Contracting.
