Value of stolen items: Could exceed $100,000
A two-bedroom house in Volusia County, Florida, held the largest collection of stolen goods local investigators could recall, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The thieves targeted construction sites and nearly every inch of the house, garage and attic brimmed with appliances, air-conditioning ducts, cement mixers, sinks, bathtubs, tile and tools. Deputies say they found nearly enough merchandise to stock a home-improvement store. The items were stolen from dozens of construction sites in Volusia, Lake and Seminole counties, investigators said. Three men have been arrested and investigators are currently researching what burglaries they might have committed.
