To help contractors gain a competitive advantage in securing surety bonding, RSM McGladrey will host a free Web seminar Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. CDT.
The firm says the seminar, titled “Contract Surety Bonds: Understanding Today’s Market,” will help construction company owners understand the latest trends and legal issues affecting the surety market and the relationship between the contractor and producer. It will be led by Craig Hansen, who has more than 25 years of surety industry experience and is senior vice president of Holmes Murphy & Associates.
“In today’s risk-averse, competitive environment, a construction company that is well capitalized, well managed and well prepared to approach surety companies for bonding needs can have a true competitive advantage,” Hansen said.
The seminar will examine recent industry performance along with today’s underwriting standards, bond premiums, capacity and claims.
