Rental Service Corporation has appointed Tom Zorn chief executive officer. He succeeds Freek Nijdam, who will remain chairman of the RSC board. Zorn joined RSC in June 2003 and has been chief operating officer since July 1. In his new role, he will be a member of Atlas Copco’s group management. Zorn has held various positions with Ford Motor Company, Budget Rental Car and the Security Capital Group, a subsidiary of GE Capital. Nijdam will continue to work with special assignments and will report to the president and chief executive of the Atlas Copco Group.
