New backhoe series has more power, reduced maintenance

A more powerful Perkins engine, a center driveline and new hydraulics give the Terex B series backhoe loaders increased performance, extended service intervals and improved reliability. The center driveline increases clearance under the front axle. A large torque converter improves pushing performance. Transmission-mounted hydraulic pumps boost efficiency. Service intervals on the engine have been extended to 500 hours and a 34.2-gallon fuel tank translates into more work between fill ups.
