The sixth model in Komatsu’s new line of hydrostatically driven wheel loaders, the WA150-5, puts out 96 horsepower, weighs 17,295 pounds, and offers a breakout force of 16,314 pounds. The electronically controlled hydrostatic transmission with variable shift control allocates only as much power as needed for a given application and lets you set the maximum speed for a better match to hydraulic speed in applications such as V-cycle loading. A switch-activated traction control system reduces tire slippage in wet or muddy conditions.
