July tractor sales in the 100+ HP 2WD category were nearly 38 percent higher than the total seen in July 2020, according to July Flash Report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
AEM’s report indicated sales in the under 40 HP sector were 4.4 percent lower than July 2020, and sales in the 40 HP to under 100 HP segment were down a tick (0.4 percent) from July 2020.
Total 2WD tractor sales for the month were down 1.2 percent compared to July 2020. For the year, AEM says total sales in the 2WD segment is 13.5 percent ahead of last year. Sales in the 4WD segment showed a strong month, up nearly 80 percent for the month, and sales were more than 38 percent ahead of the same period one year ago, AEM reports.
