We'd like to introduce you to MRTE of Great Falls, Montana, one of our 2021 Equipment World Contractor of the Year finalists.

Started in 1988 by Joe Horner Sr. and Joe Horner Jr., MRTE now has 45 employees and $8 million to $10 million in annual revenues. MRTE stands for Missouri River Trucking and Excavating and is involved in several aspects of construction including site work, commercial and private work, ready-mix concrete and aggregates production, and paving and trucking.

Joe Jr. has led the firm for several years and talks here about the impact the pandemic had on this firm and on how construction is not a 9-to-5 job.
