The new models also incorporate many of the features of Hyundai’s first five HX Series excavators, including productivity enhancements, improved fuel efficiency, increased operator comfort and simplified maintenance. Models previously released at ConExpo 2026 include the HX230, HX260, HX300, HX360 and HX400

A large-capacity bucket with an improved cutting edge offers increased productivity compared to the standard bucket size, the company says.

Real-time weighing lets operators estimate the weight of objects or materials to better calculate truck costs and shipping volumes on site. When an overload is detected, a first warning is displayed, followed by a colored notification that informs the operator of the risk of overturning.

Hyundai Product Manager Joe Hodges says the pilot-controlled hydraulic system provides operators with the “traditional feel and performance” of other Hyundai excavators, while offering a “budget-friendly choice” for rental houses and larger fleets. Standard joystick steering also allows operators to drive forward, backward and turn left or right.

Extended Service Intervals

With the next-generation model, Hyundai has extended replacement intervals for engine oil, engine filters and fuel filters from 500 to 1,000 hours when they use CK-4 engine oil, and extended coolant replacement intervals from 2,000 to 6,000 hours.

The filters have been rearranged and the opening area of the filter cover has been expanded to ease maintenance access. A reversible fan function allows for easier cleanout.

Additional Safety Features

A new, optional white-noise alert tone uses a wideband frequency to warn people on the jobsite of the machine’s presence.

Optional Smart Around View Monitoring uses six cameras and AI to automatically detect people passing or working around the machine during operation.

The HX210L comes with five years of Hyundai Connect, which includes location tracking and theft prevention, maintenance notifications and fleet monitoring.
