As a value-priced alternative to its new R-Series models, Bobcat is launching its M3-Series of skid steers and compact track loaders. The lineup will include four models: the S510 and S590 skid steers and the T550 and T595 compact track loaders.
Building off its present M2-Series, the M3-Series was "developed to specifically support customers who are looking for more practical features with pricing to match," says Bobcat.
The series comes with a standard adjustable suspension seat and large entry to accommodate different-sized operators. An enclosed, pressurized cab is also available. A dial hand throttle quickly adjusts engine speed, and fingertip controls ease attachment operation.
The cab includes a 12-volt power accessory for charging mobile devices. High-output halogen lights allow work in low light.
Powered by a 2.4-liter Bobcat turbo-charged engine ranging from 55 to 70 horsepower, M3-Series machines use a new fuel system, simplified configurations and have fewer ancillary options. The new fuel system makes low fuel levels more forgiving, Bobcat says. In addition, a robust engine combustion chamber handles more pressure, producing more usable horsepower and torque than those in competitive models.

A self-priming pump and new fuel pre-filter improves cold-weather operation. The models also offer automatic machine shutdown, on-board diagnostics and battery run-down protection to monitor engine, hydraulic and battery functions. A new larger fuel filter offers better system protection and longer filter lift.
Bobcat's Bob-Tach attachment mounting system comes standard on the loaders; Power Bob-Tach, which allows users to change non-hydraulic attachments without leaving the cab, is an option.
Other options include Selectable Joystick Control, MaxControl Remote Operation, automatic ride control and hydraulic bucket positioning.
