Gehl RT185Saying the controls offer operators “an all-new experience,” Manitou has introduced a 1,850-pound capacity machine to its Gehl and Mustang compact track loaders that offer pilot controls.
The new Gehl RT185 and Mustang 1850RT track loaders offer one-to-one proportional control over the drive system with a hydraulic pilot control joystick, Manitou says. Thanks to a cab redesign on these CTLs, the joystick is mounted to the seat, adding legroom and minimizing arm fatigue.
Inside the redesigned cab, operators will find new side-folding restraint bars and armrests, a high-back cushion seat and a customizable multi-function display. A pressurized, sealed cab enclosure with heating, cooling, sound reduction and an air filter is an available option.
DCIM102GOPROPowered, by a 69.9-horsepower engine and two-speed hydrostatic drive system, the RT185 and 1850RT are able to lift up to 83 inches and, at 35 percent of rated operating capacity, carry 1,850 pounds of material.
Manitou says the undercarriage on these machines is a custom design providing 12.7 inches of ground clearance, and even weight distribution for enhanced stability, grading and tractive effort.
Mustang 1850RTEquipped with HydraGlide ride control, the loaders’ lift arm can float when transporting loads, reducing material loss during travel and providing a smoother ride. The system also provides self-leveling to keep the attachment level as the arm is raised and lowered, Manitou says.
The machines feature Manitou’s IdealTrax automatic track tensioning system. IdealTrax works by ensuring the proper tension on the tracks upon engine start up and releases track tension when the engine is turned off. Manitou says this system can increase the life of tracks by up to 15 percent.
Gehl RT185A wide range of attachments are compatible with the RT185 and 1850RT via a skid-attach plate and the All-Tach mourning system. The Power-A-Tach system is an available option, allowing operators to engage and disengage an attachment without leaving the cab.
High-flow auxiliary hydraulics, providing up to 37.4 gpm, a rear view backup camera, and a fold-up door are available as well.
