RSC to acquire American Equipment Rentals

Rental equipment provider RSC has announced entering an agreement to purchase Providence, Rhode Island-based American Equipment Rentals.
American is one of the largest independent aerial equipment rental companies in New England with annual revenues nearing $19 million. Undisclosed details of the transaction are expected to close in the third quarter of 2008. The acquisition is expected to be neutral to RSC’s earnings per share in 2008 and provide modest growth in 2009.
