Participants in IronPlanet’s online equipment auctions conducted $105.9 million worth of equipment sales and purchases during the first half of 2007. The figure is a 37 percent increase over transactions conducted during the same period in 2006.
More than 9,000 viewers participated in 17 auctions which averaged more than 22 bids per item. First-time buyers made up almost 25 percent of purchases. IronPlanet added 20,000 registered users since the first of the year.
