Roller screed ready for paving
The WRS SuperScreed from Multiquip can do a variety of jobs, from paving applications to airport runways to bridge decks. The self-propelled roller screed has a sectional truss frame and several strike tube lengths that give it the ability to strike off panels ranging in size from 12 to 50 feet. The unit’s flexibility can be used on highway off-ramps or anywhere curved or tapered roadways make strike off difficult. Powered by either a 20-horsepower gasoline or 28-horsepower Vanguard diesel engine, the screed has a wrap-around steel frame with convenient lifting points.

20 curb styles at the ready
For use in both residential and commercial applications, Tygar Manufacturing’s Bengal TG1000 curb machine has more than 20 curb styles. The unit also has a 24-inch walkway mold and more than 30 different stamp patterns, all which can be quickly interchanged. Accepting up to 3/8-inch aggregate, the machine weighs 185 pounds and makes vertical and lateral steering adjustments to match grades.

Pour a radius as tight as 24 inches
The LeeBoy LBC-24W compact concrete curber offers a maneuverable, speedy machine in an economical package. The curber can pour a radius as tight as 24 inches, eliminating most hand forming. Applications include slipform curb and gutter, alley ribbons and sidewalks up to 4 feet wide. The unit can also perform below-grade pours for street rehabilitation work. Powered by a 44-horsepower diesel, the unit offers operators fingertip control of all curbing functions from its front and rear control panels. The auto restart function gives you clean starts and stops.

Lightweight cut-off saw cuts to 53/4 inches deep
Diamond Product’s lightweight, industrial SpediCut cut-off saw has a 16-inch maximum blade capacity. The multipurpose saw is used for smooth, square cutting through a wide range of building materials. The unit has a 6.2-horsepower motor, maximum cutting depth of 5 3/4 inches and a weight of 23.4 pounds.

Chain saws get additional guide bar lengths
Two guide bar lengths have been added to two gas-powered concrete cutting chain saws from ICS Blount. The Redzaw RX60, which is available as a saw package with a 9-inch guide bar, now has an optional 12-inch guide bar and associated diamond chains. The ICS 613GC has either a 12-inch or 14-inch guide bar with associated chains. The new guide bars are interchangeable with previous bars.

Pump concrete cure directly from container to tank
E-Z Drill’s Cure Sprayer Trailer can handle a wide variety of concrete cures. The 2,000-pound-axle trailer includes fork tubes and 40 feet of 1/2-inch sprayer hose. The self-loading Roper pump, powered by a 5-horsepower Honda engine, pumps the cure directly from a container or barrel into the trailer’s 100-gallon tank.

Trowels are smooth operators
Stone Construction Equipment has a full line of Smooth Operator power trowels available in 24-, 36-, 46- and 48-inch diameters. The trowels have a cast iron spider, rotating stabilizing ring and infinitely variable blade adjustments. The Dyna-Clutch system, which stops blade rotation without shutting off the engine, is also standard. The units have a shock-mounted ring guard to reduce vibration and chatter.

Production capacities boosted to more than 200 tons per hour
The Terex|CMI MTP4004B concrete material transfer/placer from Terex Roadbuilding features a 4.75-cubic-yard receiving hopper and high capacity transfer conveyor that boost production capacities to more than 200 tons per hour. The transfer/placer’s 300 feet per minute operating speed allows for a continuous flow of trucks to the machine. The unit has four-wheel steering for a tight turning radius and can be moved without disassembly, reducing transport time. Hopper self-tension, banjo-string retention cables and heavy-duty polyurethane flashing absorb the shock of delivery trucks and spring back to their original position.

Screed lowers hand/arm vibration
MBW’s Screedemon lowers wet screed hand/arm vibration up to 90 percent, according to the company. This is accomplished by using a durable flex coupler between the engine and eccentric, eliminating flex cables or rigid shafting. In addition, the unit connects to its screed bar with a compression lock, which means there are no holes in the screed bar to compromise bar integrity, nor is there any hardware passing through the bar. The machine’s magnesium screed bar works within the natural frequency of the screed/bar combination.

Pave up to 32 feet wide with extensions
The SF-2700 and SF-3000 two-track slipform pavers by Power Pavers pave from 12 to 27 feet wide and, with extensions, up to 32 feet wide. The SF-2700 is a low-profile machine with a narrow side clearance for use in residential, street, rehab and overlay work. The SF-3000, which can pour slabs to a depth of 24 inches, can meet tough specs for highways and airports. The unit loads easily, featuring hydraulic legs that lift to 42 inches so a lowboy can be backed under the machine.

Design eliminates more than 60 parts
Lindley’s Vibra Strike II has a four-stroke engine and a two-in-one float. The portable, one-piece unit eliminates more than 60 nuts, bolts, studs, washers, tensioning rods and brackets. The geometric shape of the float allows it to also be used as a curl edge when screeding from the top of forms. A one-piece extruded magnesium form facilitates cleanups.

Convey low slump materials over long distances
The Powercreter Magnum concrete repair pump by Allentown Equipment conveys low slump repair materials over long distances. The remixer in the receiving hoppers keeps mixes in optimal condition for pumping. Product applications include shotcrete, pressure grouting, structural concrete, low-velocity spraying, rock scaping and fireproofing.

Curb-and-gutter machine has choice of tracks, tires
The Southwest version of the Easi-Pour Compact curb-and-gutter machine comes with either tracks or rubber tires. Manufactured by Huron Manufacturing, the unit has sliding capabilities on all four legs for a variety of paving applications. The 18-inch-by-12-foot-long, variable-speed conveyor load system has hydraulic raise and lower control. The unit has a 6-foot-5-inch maximum trimmer width and 3-inch depth of cut.

Yoke fits irregular shaped rebar
Landre’s MegaScreed 15mm yoke screed support is designed to fit the variety of foreign rebar now in the United States. The yoke, in high visibility green chartreuse, meets the demand to fit this irregular-shaped rebar.
