Police have charged a Waterloo, Iowa man in the theft of $85,000 of construction tools and equipment, the AP reports.
Mark A. Down, 35, is accused of stealing a construction trailer and tools in July valued at $20,000 and another construction trailer and tools valued at $60,000 in October. Down drove to the construction sites, hooked his pickup to the trailers and drove them away, police said.
Down was also allegedly involved in a third theft involving $5,000 worth of aluminum forms. The trailers and some of the tools have been recovered.
