H&E Equipment Services, a heavy equipment distributor, has formed an energy solutions division that will provide lighting systems to industrial and commercial facilities in Utah and surrounding areas. Orion Energy Systems designs and manufactures lighting systems that deliver electricity savings of 50 percent while delivering better quality light, according to the company.
H&E’s Salt Lake City location has been researching, testing and selling Orion Energy Systems’ products for nearly two years. “We discovered that cutting 50 percent off of our own
lighting costs was a fabulous way to remain competitive in our 225,000-square-foot
warehouse and shop,” said Dave Heinz, manager of industrial sales for H&E
Equipment Services. “After completing our own relamping to the satisfaction of our
employees, we thought our industrial and commercial customers would like to have the
same opportunity to become more energy efficient, hence we created this new Energy
Solutions Division.”
