United Rentals announced March 24 it has purchased the equipment rental and sales assets of Handy Rent-All Center, headquartered in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
Handy Rent-All Center has eight branches in New York and Connecticut and was established in 1977 as Mid Hudson Contractor Supply. It now has annual revenues of approximately $16 million and its customers are primarily contractors and homeowners.
“Handy’s branch network is a strong complement to our company’s presence in the region,” said Fred Ransom, vice president, Northeast region, for United Rentals. “This acquisition expands United Rentals’ ability to serve customers in two states by providing expert solutions that are more accessible than ever before.”
United Rentals has more than 740 locations in 48 states, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico.
