Kubota offers $400,000 for hurricane relief effort

Kubota has committed $200,000 to the American Red Cross and $200,000 in equipment and support for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

“Kubota would like to express our sympathy and support to the victims of the recent disaster and we are committed to offering assistance to help immediately,” said Tetsuji “Mike” Tomita, president of Kubota Tractor. “Because Kubota manufactures equipment that is invaluable in this type of cleanup and reconstruction, we are also determining the donation of equipment in-kind.”

In addition, Kubota’s U.S. subsidiaries will match employee donations to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina fund.
