Leica Geosystems has appointed Bob Williams president of the company’s surveying and engineering division for the Americas selling region. Williams replaces Matthew Smith, who is moving to corporate headquarters in Heerbrugg, Switzerland, to work on corporate and international projects. Prior to joining Leica Geosystems, Williams was vice president of commercial and industrial facilities for Invensys, a maker of industrial controls and automation equipment. He has also held key management roles with Siemens Energy and Automation and British Oxygen Company.
